“Before I was hopeless, I was like left in my own desperate world, but now with Nsanga Initiative support, I feel comfortable, I can study, my baby is getting everything from Nsanga Initiative, Nsanga is my parent.” said Fabiola MUCYO , a S2 student teen mother supported by Nsanga Initiative at GS Muyumbu. 

The second psycho-social support session was conducted by two professional trainers, UMUKUNZI Sandrine and Onesphore HAKIZIMANA. Seventeen teen mothers attended the session.

During the workshop, a session of deliverance was conducted, most of the teen mothers were concerned about reconciliation with their parents. Note that, some of their parents rejected them, some are not supporting them since to their pregnancies. They were touched and two of them got saved and accepted Jesus as their redeemer who is alive.

Adolphe Gashumba, the in charge of Social Affairs in Muyumbu sector, reminded the teen mothers that they have to thank God who brought Nsanga Initiative to them. There are still many teen mothers who haven’t yet got any support. “Nsanga came at the right time, now you are getting the right skills to enable you to improve your lives and continue to build your country as other citizens”, said Adolphe. 

He appreciated the support and the partnership with Nsanga Initiative. He reminded the teen mothers that the support is not yet exhausted, those who are attending the tailoring training, they have to complete successfully their studies and prove their capabilities so that they should get the sewing machines to allow them to quickly position on the local market. Those who are pursuing their studies, have to pass well so that they continue to the next level of their education.

He reminded them to always have discipline and cooperate well with their parents and teachers, as well as other educators.
